Brian McCarthy
A pioneering force in the renewable energy sector, Brian McCarthy co-founded Archaea Energy, which he led to prominence as one of the largest renewable natural gas producers in the U.S. His strategic foresight culminated in the landmark sale of Archaea to BP in 2022, a deal that set new industry standards and showcased his exceptional skill in navigating high-stakes business environments. Brian’s experience spans major roles at Goldman Sachs and his ongoing partnership at Saltonstall and Co., bringing a critical eye for sustainable and profitable energy investments to our committee.
Meredith Christensen
With over two decades in real estate advisory and investment, Meredith Christensen has a robust background in development, redevelopment, and fund investments. In addition to currently serving as the Senior Director of Project Development at Dartmouth College, she has held prominent positions at JLL, CBRE, and MITiCo (MIT’s investment arm of the endowment fund). Meredith’s deep understanding of real estate investment life cycles is invaluable to our committee.
Jim Moore
As President of Avalana Advisors and former Managing Director at PIMCO, Jim’s extensive experience in asset management and portfolio construction significantly enhances our committee’s strategic capabilities. Prior to PIMCO, Jim was in the Derivatives Products Group at Morgan Stanley, designed and underwrote credit risk transfer products at Enhance Reinsurance, and was a Senior Research Fellow at the Wharton Financial Institutions Center. His academic background at Wharton and Brown University underscores his analytical prowess. Jim holds a PhD from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance, Insurance, and Risk Management.
